Registered bed nights increased 23 percent

In May 2022, 79,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Falkenberg (+22.8 %), of which 75,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 18 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 240 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 23 percent from last year's May.

9,500 rooms (+29.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,500 rooms (+123.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 191,000 registered bed nights (+43.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,800 (+338.3 %) for foreigners in Falkenberg, in total 208,000 (+51.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.5 percent

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Falkenberg out of total registered bed nights was 1.5 % (-0.5 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

41,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 55 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.5 percent were domestic, and 6.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falkenberg on average 1.9 nights (-0.48) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.69).
