Registered bed nights increased 49 percent

In April 2021, 28,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Falkenberg (+48.9 %), of which 27,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 46 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 290 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 49 percent from last year's April.

5,400 rooms (+48.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (+112.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 69,900 registered bed nights (-18.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,500 (-50.6 %) for foreigners in Falkenberg, in total 72,500 (-20.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Falkenberg out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (-0.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

13,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 52 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.3 percent were domestic, and 2.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falkenberg on average 2.1 nights (-0.07) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+0.56).
