69,800 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 69,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Falkenberg (-23.8 %), of which 68,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 15 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 90 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 24 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (280 nights).

7,400 rooms (-26.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,500 rooms (-54.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 199,000 registered bed nights (-27.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,700 (-74.9 %) for foreigners in Falkenberg, in total 206,000 (-31.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (-48.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (-32.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 257,000 nights (-87.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Falkenberg out of total registered bed nights was 1.9 % (+0.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

29,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 24 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.7 percent were domestic, and 1.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falkenberg on average 2.4 nights (-0.09) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+0.83).
