Registered bed nights increased 19 percent

In September 2019, 61,100 bed nights were recorded in Falkenberg (+18.7 %), of which 53,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,100 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 14 percent and foreign bed nights increased 57 percent. In total, bed nights increased 19 percent from last year's September.

8,300 rooms (+64.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 5,200 rooms (-22.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 668,000 bed nights (+8.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 82,200 (+23.5 %) for foreigners in Falkenberg, in total 750,000 (+10.2 %) nights.

Total of 4.5 million bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Falkenberg out of total bed nights was 1.4 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

26,400 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 84.8 percent were domestic, and 15.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falkenberg on average 2.4 nights (+0.17) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.01).
