Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 19 percent

In February 2023, 28,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Falkenberg (+19.5 %), of which 26,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 21 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased five percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 19 percent from last year's February.

8,000 rooms (+21.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+55.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 46,000 registered bed nights (+24.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,300 (+20.9 %) for foreigners in Falkenberg, in total 50,300 (+23.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Falkenberg out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. In Falkenberg, length of stay in February was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falkenberg on average 1.7 nights (-7.1 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-4.8 %).

16,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 27 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.3 percent were domestic, and 7.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falkenberg on average 1.7 nights (-0.12) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.02).
