Registered bed nights increased 47 percent

In January 2022, 16,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Falkenberg (+47.0 %), of which 15,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 44 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 117 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 47 percent from last year's January.

4,900 rooms (+57.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 840 rooms (-27.3 %) by business visitors.

Total of 2.3 million registered bed nights (+4.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.9 million nights (-4.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 399,000 nights (+105.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Falkenberg out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.8 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 35 percent compared to earlier year. In Falkenberg, length of stay in January was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-36.1 %).

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falkenberg on average 1.8 nights and foreigners 1.6 nights .
