Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 92 percent

In April 2022, 54,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Falkenberg (+91.9 %), of which 48,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 78 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 460 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 92 percent from last year's April.

9,500 rooms (+80.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,600 rooms (+64.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 116,000 registered bed nights (+65.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,400 (+388.0 %) for foreigners in Falkenberg, in total 128,000 (+76.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.2 million registered bed nights (+64.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+46.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 791,000 nights (+260.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Falkenberg out of total registered bed nights was 1.3 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

Length of stay was 1.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 15 percent compared to earlier year. In Falkenberg, length of stay in April was on average 1.8 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-23.8 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falkenberg on average 1.8 nights (-25.0 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-37.6 %).

29,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 125 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.4 percent were domestic, and 9.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falkenberg on average 1.8 nights (-0.32) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.97).
