Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased four percent

In June 2022, 96,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Falkenberg (+4.1 %), of which 88,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 290 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased four percent from last year's June.

10,300 rooms (-0.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,200 rooms (+88.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 280,000 registered bed nights (+24.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 24,800 (+320.5 %) for foreigners in Falkenberg, in total 304,000 (+32.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.4 percent

Total of 6.9 million registered bed nights (+39.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.2 million nights (+17.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+259.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Falkenberg out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (-0.5 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 15 percent compared to earlier year. In Falkenberg, length of stay in June was on average 2.0 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-13.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falkenberg on average 2.1 nights (-20.8 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-18.0 %).

47,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 23 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.1 percent were domestic, and 9.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falkenberg on average 2.1 nights (-0.36) and foreigners 1.7 nights (+0.1).
