Registered bed nights increased 40 percent

In September 2019, 8,100 bed nights were recorded in Falköping (+40.0 %), of which 7,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 990 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 46 percent and foreign bed nights increased six percent. In total, bed nights increased 40 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (145 nights).

2,700 rooms (+26.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,600 rooms (-1.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 60,700 bed nights (+20.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,600 (-12.7 %) for foreigners in Falköping, in total 70,300 (+14.3 %) nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 4.5 million bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Falköping out of total bed nights was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

3,300 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 86.4 percent were domestic, and 13.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falköping on average 2.5 nights (+0.57) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.32).
