6,900 registered bed nights

In May 2022, 6,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Falköping (-2.6 %), of which 6,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 770 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased four percent and registered foreign bed nights increased seven percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased three percent from last year's May.

2,000 rooms (+42.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,400 rooms (+104.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 23,700 registered bed nights (+16.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,200 (-28.1 %) for foreigners in Falköping, in total 27,000 (+8.0 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Falköping out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

4,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 42 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.5 percent were domestic, and 7.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falköping on average 1.6 nights (-0.73) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-1.0).
