Falköping: Tourism in a nutshell

Registered bed nights increased 40 percent
In December 2021, 4,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Falköping (+39.7 %), of which 4,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 540 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 59 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 27 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 40 percent from last year's December.
1,500 rooms (+39.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,100 rooms (+57.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 70,900 registered bed nights (+6.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,100 (-7.4 %) for foreigners in Falköping, in total 80,000 (+5.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 76 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 90.0 percent were domestic, and 10.0 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falköping on average 1.8 nights (-0.2) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-2.8).
