Registered bed nights increased 40 percent

In September 2019, 8,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Falköping (+40.0 %), of which 7,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 990 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 46 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased six percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 40 percent from last year's September.

2,400 rooms (+20.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,500 rooms (-3.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 60,700 registered bed nights (+20.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 9,600 (-12.7 %) for foreigners in Falköping, in total 70,300 (+14.3 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased 41 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 41 percent compared to earlier year. In Falköping, length of stay in September was on average 3.2 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-1.3 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falköping on average 3.3 nights (+14.4 %) and foreigners 2.6 nights (-6.9 %).

2,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.7 percent were domestic, and 15.3 percent were from foreign countries.
