Paid bed nights

8,300 registered bed nights

In October 2020, 8,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Falköping (-0.4 %), of which 5,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 200 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased less than one percent from last year's October.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (1,300 nights).

1,500 rooms (-33.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 880 rooms (-46.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 59,000 registered bed nights (-13.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,700 (-25.7 %) for foreigners in Falköping, in total 66,700 (-15.2 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased nine percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased nine percent compared to earlier year. In Falköping, length of stay in October was on average 3.1 nights and in Sweden 2.0 nights (+7.5 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Falköping on average 2.9 nights (+14.3 %) and foreigners 3.5 nights (+44.9 %).

2,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 74.8 percent were domestic, and 25.2 percent were from foreign countries.
