Registered bed nights increased 100 percent
In May 2022, 4,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Filipstad (+99.7 %), of which 3,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 960 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 70 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 580 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 100 percent from last year's May.
860 rooms (+93.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+147.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 9,500 registered bed nights (+31.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,400 (+169.5 %) for foreigners in Filipstad, in total 10,900 (+40.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 133 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.3 percent were domestic, and 16.7 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Filipstad on average 1.8 nights (-0.31) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-2.5).
