Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 101 percent

In August 2021, 6,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Filipstad (+101.4 %), of which 5,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 82 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 280 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 101 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (400 nights).

680 rooms (+28.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 910 rooms (+129.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 23,800 registered bed nights (+36.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,800 (+257.2 %) for foreigners in Filipstad, in total 27,600 (+49.6 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased 28 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 28 percent compared to earlier year. In Filipstad, length of stay in August was on average 3.8 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-3.6 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Filipstad on average 3.2 nights (+5.8 %) and foreigners 26 nights (+126.7 %).

1,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 58 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.2 percent were domestic, and 2.8 percent were from foreign countries.
