996,000 registered bed nights
In March 2020, 996,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Finland (-46.6 %), of which 730,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 265,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 44 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 53 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 47 percent from last year's March.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (35,100 nights).
647,000 nights (-46.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 349,000 nights (-46.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 2.9 million registered bed nights (-11.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1.6 million (-14.0 %) for foreigners in Finland, in total 4.5 million (-12.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased 15 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. In Finland, length of stay in March was on average 2.3 nights (+14.6 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Finland on average 2.2 nights (+3.6 %) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+2.6 %).
436,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 53 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 76.6 percent were domestic, and 23.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Finland on average 2.2 nights (+0.31) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+0.27).

136,000 international congress guests in 2019
The number of international congress quests increased 53 percent from the previous year.
There was a total of 830 congresses organized (+83) in 2019.
510,000 air travelers
The airport received a total of 510,000 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals decreased 54 percent.
Of local passengers, 70.4 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 29.2 %.
In addition, there were 311,000 passengers departing the airport (-59.6 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 821,000 (-56.0 %).

There were 257,000 arriving passengers by ferries. In total, the arrivals to port decreased 58 percent. The number of departing passengers was 234,000 (-61.3 %). Most arrivals were from Estonia (138,000 arrivals).

Accommodation sales 83.1 million euro
Total accommodation sales in March were 83.1 million euro (-49.0 million). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 23.0 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 64.0 million euro (-54.5 million) and non-registered sales 19.1 million euro (+5.6 million).
Total January-March sales were 344.9 million euro and they decreased 15.9 million euro from the previous year.
