Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 20 percent

In May 2021, 2,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Finspång (+20.0 %), of which 2,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 220 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 84 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 20 percent from last year's May.

710 rooms (+81.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 910 rooms (+41.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 7,300 registered bed nights (-4.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 640 (-53.9 %) for foreigners in Finspång, in total 8,000 (-11.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.3 million registered bed nights (+46.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.0 million nights (+45.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 291,000 nights (+65.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Finspång out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased eight percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Finspång, length of stay in May was on average 2.1 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-5.3 %).

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Finspång on average 2.0 nights (+19.9 %) and foreigners 6.8 nights (+34.7 %).

1,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.4 percent were domestic, and 2.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Finspång on average 2.0 nights (+0.1) and foreigners 6.8 nights (+0.57).
