Paid bed nights

3,400 registered bed nights

In March 2023, 3,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Flen (-6.8 %), of which 3,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 330 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased nine percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 20 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased seven percent from last year's March.

680 rooms (-21.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+22.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 8,600 registered bed nights (+5.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 910 (+60.1 %) for foreigners in Flen, in total 9,500 (+8.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Flen out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 21 percent compared to earlier year. In Flen, length of stay in March was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Flen on average 1.8 nights (-24.9 %) and foreigners 1.5 nights (+4.0 %).

2,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 18 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.4 percent were domestic, and 11.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Flen on average 1.8 nights (-0.52) and foreigners 1.5 nights (+0.04).
