Forssa Region: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered bed nights increased two percent
In August 2019, 11,600 bed nights were recorded in Forssa Region (+1.5 %), of which 11,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 590 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased one percent and foreign bed nights increased 13 percent. In total, bed nights increased two percent from last year's August.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (125 nights).
8,600 nights (-9.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,000 nights (+52.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 66,300 bed nights (-5.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,200 (-0.8 %) for foreigners in Forssa Region, in total 67,400 (-3.8 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased less than one percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 95.6 percent were domestic, and 4.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Forssa Region on average 1.9 nights (+0.01) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.39).
