Registered bed nights increased 36 percent

In September 2021, 10,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Forssa Region (+35.8 %), of which 10,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 440 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 34 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 80 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 36 percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Sweden (220 nights).

8,000 nights (+55.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,700 nights (-1.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 55,200 registered bed nights (+12.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (+117.5 %) for foreigners in Forssa Region, in total 57,800 (+14.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.7 percent

Total of 1.6 million registered bed nights (+29.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.4 million nights (+21.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 204,000 nights (+121.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Forssa Region out of total registered bed nights was 0.7 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

5,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 29 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.3 percent were domestic, and 1.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Forssa Region on average 1.9 nights (+0.1) and foreigners 4.9 nights (-0.99).
