Registered bed nights increased 16 percent
In March 2018, 9,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Forssa Region (+15.9 %), of which 8,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 350 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 15 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 51 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 16 percent from last year's March.
6,700 nights (-2.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,600 nights (+118.4 %) by business visitors.
Between January and March, 23,400 registered bed nights (+23.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,300 (+110.9 %) for foreigners in Forssa Region, in total 20,000 (+2.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Forssa Region, length of stay in March was on average 1.7 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (-0.6 %).
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Forssa Region on average 1.7 nights (-0.1 %) and foreigners 1.5 nights (+42.9 %).
5,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 18 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.7 percent were domestic, and 4.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Forssa Region on average 1.7 nights (-0.02) and foreigners 1.5 nights (-0.41).
