Paid bed nights

4,100 registered bed nights

In November 2020, 4,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Fosen Region (-23.3 %), of which 4,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 138 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased nine percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 86 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 23 percent from last year's November.

900 nights (-29.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,100 nights (-8.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and November, 69,400 registered bed nights (+18.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,600 (-40.3 %) for foreigners in Fosen Region, in total 82,000 (+2.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 861,000 registered bed nights (-56.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 751,000 nights (-54.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 111,000 nights (-67.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Fosen Region out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 2.3 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased eight percent compared to earlier year. In Fosen Region, length of stay in November was on average 2.3 nights and in Norway 2.4 nights (+37.9 %).

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Fosen Region on average 2.2 nights (+14.2 %) and foreigners 5.8 nights (+69.8 %).

1,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 17 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.7 percent were domestic, and 1.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During November, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Fosen Region on average 2.2 nights (+0.0) and foreigners 5.8 nights (+1.1).
