Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 40 percent

In September 2021, 13,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Fosen Region (+39.8 %), of which 6,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 175 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 40 percent from last year's September.

2,500 nights (+41.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,600 nights (+15.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 59,700 registered bed nights (-0.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 19,900 (+75.7 %) for foreigners in Fosen Region, in total 79,600 (+12.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.5 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+44.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.2 million nights (+34.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 452,000 nights (+120.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Fosen Region out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.6 %.

Length of stay increased 14 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 14 percent compared to earlier year. In Fosen Region, length of stay in September was on average 3.1 nights and in Norway 2.0 nights (-3.8 %).

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Fosen Region on average 2.0 nights (+1.1 %) and foreigners 6.7 nights (-29.5 %).

4,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 23 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 76.9 percent were domestic, and 23.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Fosen Region on average 2.0 nights (-0.3) and foreigners 6.7 nights (+0.74).
