3,800 bed nights in paid accommodation (April)
Total of 3,800 bed nights (+28.1 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Lovisa Region in April 2023. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 55 % and non-registered 45 %.
Between January and April, the number of paid bed nights was 12,800 (+11.0 %). Share of registered was 57 % and non-registered 43 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.
Registered bed nights increased seven percent (April)
In April 2023, 2,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Lovisa Region (+7.1 %), of which 2,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 140 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 115 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased seven percent from last year's April.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (60 nights).
870 nights (-31.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,300 nights (+73.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and April, 6,000 registered bed nights (-16.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,300 (+818.6 %) for foreigners in Lovisa Region, in total 7,400 (+0.1 %) registered nights.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 30 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.1 percent were domestic, and 11.9 percent were from foreign countries.
During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lovisa Region on average 3.7 nights (-0.62) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-0.76).

Accommodation sales 220,000 euro (April)
Total accommodation sales in April were 220,000 euro (+80,100). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 32.4 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 149,000 euro (+38,300) and non-registered sales 71,100 euro (+41,700).
Total January-April sales were 703,000 euro and they increased 182,000 euro from the previous year.
