Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 410 percent

In April 2021, 5,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Fredrikstad And Hvaler (+414.1 %), of which 4,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 420 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 400 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 410 percent from last year's April.

3,300 nights (+582.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 670 nights (+15.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 6,900 registered bed nights (-15.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,500 (-22.5 %) for foreigners in Fredrikstad And Hvaler, in total 8,400 (-16.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 883,000 registered bed nights (+166.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 788,000 nights (+184.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 94,300 nights (+75.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Fredrikstad And Hvaler out of total registered bed nights was 0.6 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 1.1 %.

Length of stay increased 55 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 55 percent compared to earlier year. In Fredrikstad And Hvaler, length of stay in April was on average 3.2 nights and in Norway 2.8 nights (-3.0 %).

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Fredrikstad And Hvaler on average 3.4 nights (+58.3 %) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+39.3 %).

1,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 230 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 76.5 percent were domestic, and 23.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Fredrikstad And Hvaler on average 3.4 nights (+1.4) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-0.08).
