In January 2021, 7,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Gällivare (-14.7 %), of which 6,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 380 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 81 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 15 percent from last year's January.
540 rooms (-52.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,000 rooms (-33.1 %) by business visitors.

Length of stay increased 72 percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 72 percent compared to earlier year. In Gällivare, length of stay in January was on average 5.2 nights and in Sweden 3.4 nights (+45.2 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gällivare on average 5.4 nights and foreigners 3.8 nights .
