Registered bed nights increased 53 percent
In May 2021, 23,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Gävle (+53.1 %), of which 21,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 47 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 220 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 53 percent from last year's May.
4,300 rooms (+28.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 9,500 rooms (+73.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 87,700 registered bed nights (-5.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,000 (+29.0 %) for foreigners in Gävle, in total 94,700 (-3.6 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
