Registered bed nights increased 16 percent
In August 2019, 166,000 bed nights were recorded in Gävleborg County (+15.8 %), of which 139,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 27,400 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 13 percent and foreign bed nights increased 36 percent. In total, bed nights increased 16 percent from last year's August.
Between January and August, 899,000 bed nights (+7.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 113,000 (+27.5 %) for foreigners in Gävleborg County, in total 1.0 million (+9.6 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
