Registered bed nights increased 49 percent
In December 2021, 86,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Gävleborg County (+49.2 %), of which 81,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 47 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 95 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 49 percent from last year's December.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United States (970 nights).
Between January and December, 1.2 million registered bed nights (+13.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 91,300 (+86.0 %) for foreigners in Gävleborg County, in total 1.3 million (+16.3 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Registered January-December sales were 415.0 million SEK and they increased 88.5 million euro from the previous year.
