Gävleborg County: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered bed nights increased eight percent
In February 2020, 131,000 bed nights were recorded in Gävleborg County (+8.4 %), of which 124,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,900 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased eight percent and foreign bed nights increased 22 percent. In total, bed nights increased eight percent from last year's February.
Between January and February, 217,000 bed nights (+8.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,900 (+8.0 %) for foreigners in Gävleborg County, in total 228,000 (+8.5 %) nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
