Gislaved: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 31 percent
In May 2022, 13,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Gislaved (+30.8 %), of which 12,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 22 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 450 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 31 percent from last year's May.
2,500 rooms (+39.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,900 rooms (+151.7 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 43,200 registered bed nights (+20.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 18,500 (+1,821.3 %) for foreigners in Gislaved, in total 61,700 (+68.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

6,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 24 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.2 percent were domestic, and 7.8 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gislaved on average 1.9 nights (+0.08) and foreigners 2.2 nights (+0.47).

Registered January-May sales were 33.9 million SEK and they increased 15.8 million SEK from the previous year.
