Registered bed nights increased 139 percent

In December 2021, 7,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Gislaved (+139.5 %), of which 5,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 79 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 880 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 139 percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (1,800 nights).

1,400 rooms (+264.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,600 rooms (+79.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and December, 128,000 registered bed nights (+11.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,600 (+96.5 %) for foreigners in Gislaved, in total 139,000 (+15.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+85.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+74.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 553,000 nights (+166.0 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Gislaved out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

4,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 155 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 74.6 percent were domestic, and 25.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gislaved on average 1.8 nights (-0.21) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.67).
