Registered bed nights increased 25 percent

In April 2021, 6,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Gislaved (+25.1 %), of which 6,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 140 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 26 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased one percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 25 percent from last year's April.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (39 nights).

1,200 rooms (+178.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 910 rooms (-3.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and April, 25,900 registered bed nights (+70.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 750 (-73.5 %) for foreigners in Gislaved, in total 26,600 (+47.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.3 percent

Total of 2.6 million registered bed nights (+102.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.3 million nights (+103.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (+90.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Gislaved out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

3,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 26 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.0 percent were domestic, and 2.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During April, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gislaved on average 1.9 nights (+0.01) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-1.6).
