Registered bed nights increased 14 percent

In October 2019, 11,200 bed nights were recorded in Gislaved (+14.4 %), of which 9,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,000 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 14 percent and foreign bed nights increased 15 percent. In total, bed nights increased 14 percent from last year's October.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (1,400 nights).

1,700 rooms (+23.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,700 rooms (+5.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 89,100 bed nights (-0.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 35,700 (-0.7 %) for foreigners in Gislaved, in total 125,000 (-0.7 %) nights.

Market share 0.3 percent

Total of 4.1 million bed nights (+3.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+5.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 936,000 nights (-2.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Gislaved out of total bed nights was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

6,400 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 88.6 percent were domestic, and 11.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gislaved on average 1.6 nights (-0.06) and foreigners 2.8 nights (+0.46).

Registered January-October sales were 58.3 million SEK and they increased 4.7 million euro from the previous year.
