Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased three percent

In February 2023, 17,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Gislaved (+3.3 %), of which 7,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 9,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased six percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 13 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's February.

1,900 rooms (-4.6 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+32.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 14,100 registered bed nights (-10.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,200 (+11.5 %) for foreigners in Gislaved, in total 27,300 (-1.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.5 percent

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Gislaved out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

Length of stay was 5.3 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. In Gislaved, length of stay in February was on average 5.3 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gislaved on average 4.0 nights (-16.4 %) and foreigners 7.2 nights (+7.1 %).

3,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 60.2 percent were domestic, and 39.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gislaved on average 4.0 nights (-0.79) and foreigners 7.2 nights (+0.67).
