Paid bed nights

7,200 registered bed nights

In March 2019, 7,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Gislaved (-42.9 %), of which 4,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 39 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 48 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 43 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (2,300 nights).

580 rooms (-58.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,500 rooms (+21.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 15,200 registered bed nights (-20.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 16,000 (-0.5 %) for foreigners in Gislaved, in total 31,200 (-11.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (-3.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.6 million nights (-1.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 888,000 nights (-12.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Gislaved out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 3.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 13 percent compared to earlier year. In Gislaved, length of stay in March was on average 3.8 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-4.6 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gislaved on average 3.2 nights (+11.1 %) and foreigners 5.3 nights (-21.3 %).

1,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 35 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 72.8 percent were domestic, and 27.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gislaved on average 3.2 nights (-0.21) and foreigners 5.3 nights (-1.5).
