Registered bed nights increased 73 percent

In March 2021, 5,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Gislaved (+72.6 %), of which 5,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 168 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 94 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 61 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 73 percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (36 nights).

1,100 rooms (+207.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 970 rooms (-18.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 19,500 registered bed nights (+91.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 610 (-77.4 %) for foreigners in Gislaved, in total 20,200 (+56.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+10.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 193,000 nights (-52.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Gislaved out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

2,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 46 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.3 percent were domestic, and 2.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gislaved on average 2.1 nights (+0.37) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+0.06).
