Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 11 percent

In August 2021, 19,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Gislaved (+10.9 %), of which 17,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 510 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 11 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Netherlands (1,000 nights).

2,200 rooms (+74.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,200 rooms (-8.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 94,300 registered bed nights (+11.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 6,100 (+47.9 %) for foreigners in Gislaved, in total 100,000 (+13.2 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 8.4 million registered bed nights (+39.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 6.8 million nights (+25.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+160.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Gislaved out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 5.3 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 19 percent compared to earlier year. In Gislaved, length of stay in August was on average 5.3 nights and in Sweden 2.2 nights (-3.6 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gislaved on average 5.0 nights (-13.0 %) and foreigners 8.7 nights (+46.8 %).

3,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 37 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.1 percent were domestic, and 7.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gislaved on average 5.0 nights (-1.7) and foreigners 8.7 nights (+5.8).
