Paid bed nights

11,300 registered bed nights

In October 2021, 11,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Gislaved (-21.3 %), of which 10,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 25 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 45 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 21 percent from last year's October.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (640 nights).

1,400 rooms (+19.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,500 rooms (+4.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and October, 115,000 registered bed nights (+5.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 8,600 (+55.5 %) for foreigners in Gislaved, in total 123,000 (+7.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+25.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+19.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 708,000 nights (+57.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Gislaved out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 4.5 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Gislaved, length of stay in October was on average 4.5 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-4.6 %).

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gislaved on average 4.5 nights (-12.8 %) and foreigners 4.4 nights (+42.2 %).

2,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.7 percent were domestic, and 11.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During October, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gislaved on average 4.5 nights (-0.64) and foreigners 4.4 nights (+0.64).
