Gnesta: Tourism in a nutshell

Registered bed nights increased 33 percent
In December 2021, 1,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Gnesta (+33.1 %), of which 1,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4.0 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 75 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 98 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 33 percent from last year's December.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Finland (4.0 nights).
480 rooms (+4.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 300 rooms (+287.0 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 17,100 registered bed nights were recorded for domestic visitors and 350 for foreigners in Gnesta, in total 17,400 registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels, campsites, and commercially arranged rentals in private cottages and apartments. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 60 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.6 percent were domestic, and 0.4 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Gnesta on average 1.2 nights (-0.14) and foreigners 1.0 nights (-0.96).
