Registered bed nights increased 35 percent

In February 2023, 2,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Götene (+35.0 %), of which 1,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 690 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 104 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 35 percent from last year's February.

1,100 rooms (+147.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 520 rooms (-21.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 3,100 registered bed nights (+19.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 830 (+20.9 %) for foreigners in Götene, in total 3,900 (+19.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Götene out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.5 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Götene, length of stay in February was on average 1.5 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Götene on average 1.3 nights (-24.8 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.8 %).

1,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 51 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 78.3 percent were domestic, and 21.7 percent were from foreign countries.
