Registered bed nights increased three percent

In September 2019, 423,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Greater Gothenburg (+2.6 %), of which 302,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 121,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased one percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (16,900 nights).

Between January and September, 3.1 million registered bed nights (+5.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1.2 million (+2.3 %) for foreigners in Greater Gothenburg, in total 4.3 million (+4.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.5 million registered bed nights (+2.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (+3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.2 million nights (-1.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Greater Gothenburg out of total registered bed nights was 9.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 9.0 % and foreign bed nights 10.4 %.
