Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased five percent

In October 2019, 420,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Greater Gothenburg (+4.5 %), of which 315,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 105,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased eight percent. In total, registered bed nights increased five percent from last year's October.

Between January and October, 3.4 million registered bed nights (+6.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1.4 million (+1.3 %) for foreigners in Greater Gothenburg, in total 4.7 million (+4.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+3.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+5.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 936,000 nights (-2.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Greater Gothenburg out of total registered bed nights was 10.3 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 10.1 % and foreign bed nights 11.2 %.
