In May 2020, 115,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Greater Gothenburg (-75.8 %), of which 105,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 10,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 71 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 91 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 76 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (1,300 nights).

Between January and May, 791,000 registered bed nights (-41.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 203,000 (-55.7 %) for foreigners in Greater Gothenburg, in total 994,000 (-44.8 %) registered nights.
