Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 11 percent

In June 2019, 334,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Greater Malmö (+11.2 %), of which 220,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 114,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased nine percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 16 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 11 percent from last year's June.

Between January and June, 982,000 registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 407,000 (+4.2 %) for foreigners in Greater Malmö, in total 1.4 million (+3.6 %) registered nights.

Market share 4.7 percent

Total of 7.1 million registered bed nights (+7.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.0 million nights (+8.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.1 million nights (+5.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Greater Malmö out of total registered bed nights was 4.7 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 4.4 % and foreign bed nights 5.5 %.
