90,900 registered bed nights

In May 2020, 90,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Greater Malmö (-67.6 %), of which 78,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 12,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 61 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 85 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 68 percent from last year's May.

Between January and May, 494,000 registered bed nights (-35.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 144,000 (-51.1 %) for foreigners in Greater Malmö, in total 637,000 (-39.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.2 million registered bed nights (-58.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.1 million nights (-49.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 176,000 nights (-86.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Greater Malmö out of total registered bed nights was 4.1 % (-1.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 3.8 % and foreign bed nights 7.0 %.
