337,000 registered bed nights

In July 2020, 337,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Greater Malmö (-37.7 %), of which 303,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 34,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 17 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 80 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 38 percent from last year's July.

Between January and July, 904,000 registered bed nights (-33.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 193,000 (-66.8 %) for foreigners in Greater Malmö, in total 1.1 million (-43.1 %) registered nights.

Total of 9.4 million registered bed nights (-30.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 8.8 million nights (-5.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 551,000 nights (-86.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Greater Malmö out of total registered bed nights was 3.6 % (-0.4 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 3.4 % and foreign bed nights 6.3 %.
