86,900 registered bed nights

In March 2021, 86,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Greater Malmö (-18.7 %), of which 74,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 12,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 13 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 40 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 19 percent from last year's March.

Between January and March, 199,000 registered bed nights (-45.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 34,400 (-72.3 %) for foreigners in Greater Malmö, in total 233,000 (-52.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.9 million registered bed nights (+2.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+11.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 218,000 nights (-46.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Greater Malmö out of total registered bed nights was 3.0 % (-0.8 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.8 % and foreign bed nights 5.9 %.
