Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased eight percent

In July 2018, 1.7 million registered bed nights were recorded in Greater Stockholm (+7.5 %), of which 895,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 788,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 13 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased eight percent from last year's July.

Between January and July, 5.0 million registered bed nights (+1.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3.2 million (+9.5 %) for foreigners in Greater Stockholm, in total 8.3 million (+4.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 13.1 percent

Total of 12.9 million registered bed nights (+2.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 8.9 million nights (+0.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 4.0 million nights (+6.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Greater Stockholm out of total registered bed nights was 13.1 % (+0.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 10.1 % and foreign bed nights 19.7 %.
