Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased four percent

In December 2018, 966,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Greater Stockholm (+4.1 %), of which 607,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 359,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased six percent. In total, registered bed nights increased four percent from last year's December.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (30,500 nights).

Between January and December, 9.0 million registered bed nights (+1.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5.6 million (+7.8 %) for foreigners in Greater Stockholm, in total 14.5 million (+4.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 28.0 percent

Total of 3.4 million registered bed nights (+1.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (+1.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 787,000 nights (+3.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Greater Stockholm out of total registered bed nights was 28.0 % (+0.7 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 22.8 % and foreign bed nights 45.7 %.
