Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 10 percent

In May 2019, 1.5 million registered bed nights were recorded in Greater Stockholm (+10.3 %), of which 942,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 512,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased one percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 10 percent from last year's May.

Between January and May, 3.6 million registered bed nights (+7.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1.8 million (-0.3 %) for foreigners in Greater Stockholm, in total 5.5 million (+4.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 27.2 percent

Total of 5.3 million registered bed nights (+3.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.1 million nights (+6.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.3 million nights (-5.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Greater Stockholm out of total registered bed nights was 27.2 % (+1.8 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 23.2 % and foreign bed nights 40.1 %.
