Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased seven percent

In October 2019, 1.3 million registered bed nights were recorded in Greater Stockholm (+6.5 %), of which 898,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 395,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased two percent. In total, registered bed nights increased seven percent from last year's October.

Between January and October, 8.3 million registered bed nights (+9.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4.8 million (-1.8 %) for foreigners in Greater Stockholm, in total 13.1 million (+5.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 31.9 percent

Total of 4.1 million registered bed nights (+3.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.1 million nights (+5.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 936,000 nights (-2.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Greater Stockholm out of total registered bed nights was 31.9 % (+0.8 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 28.8 % and foreign bed nights 42.2 %.
