Registered bed nights increased 56 percent

In February 2022, 18,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Grenland (+55.9 %), of which 15,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 40 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 460 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 56 percent from last year's February.

6,900 nights (+19.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,400 nights (+77.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 24,000 registered bed nights (+38.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,500 (+214.1 %) for foreigners in Grenland, in total 27,500 (+48.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.0 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+92.3 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+56.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 466,000 nights (+432.1 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Grenland out of total registered bed nights was 1.0 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

9,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 30 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.3 percent were domestic, and 5.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Grenland on average 1.7 nights (+0.18) and foreigners 4.5 nights (+1.4).

Registered accommodation sales in February were 11.6 million crowns (+5.4 million).

Registered January-February sales were 18.5 million crowns and they increased 7.8 million euro from the previous year.
