59,300 registered bed nights

In August 2022, 59,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Grenland (-1.7 %), of which 51,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased nine percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 111 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased two percent from last year's August.

17,700 nights (-5.6 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 10,400 nights (-13.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 291,000 registered bed nights (+7.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 34,500 (+175.3 %) for foreigners in Grenland, in total 326,000 (+15.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.1 percent

Total of 5.2 million registered bed nights (+18.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (-8.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.9 million nights (+129.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Grenland out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

23,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.2 percent were domestic, and 17.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Grenland on average 2.7 nights (+0.23) and foreigners 1.8 nights (+0.13).
