Registered bed nights increased 62 percent

In May 2022, 3,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Hagfors (+61.6 %), of which 1,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 50 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 76 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 62 percent from last year's May.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Latvia (700 nights).

520 rooms (+130.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,000 rooms (+92.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and May, 6,000 registered bed nights (+3.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,500 (+152.0 %) for foreigners in Hagfors, in total 9,500 (+31.8 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.4 million registered bed nights (+64.2 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 4.4 million nights (+46.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 993,000 nights (+241.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Hagfors out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

1,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 100 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 70.9 percent were domestic, and 29.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hagfors on average 1.9 nights (-0.13) and foreigners 4.1 nights (-7.8).
