Registered bed nights increased 13 percent
In May 2022, 284,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Halland County (+13.4 %), of which 266,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 17,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased nine percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 195 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 13 percent from last year's May.
38,200 rooms were booked by leisure visitors and 32,600 rooms by business visitors.
Between January and May, 672,000 registered bed nights (+28.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 53,100 (+177.4 %) for foreigners in Halland County, in total 725,000 (+33.2 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.
