113,000 registered bed nights

In March 2023, 113,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Halland County (-3.1 %), of which 105,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased three percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased three percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased three percent from last year's March.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (3,000 nights).

28,100 rooms (+10.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 27,000 rooms (-4.1 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 264,000 registered bed nights (+3.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 22,400 (+8.7 %) for foreigners in Halland County, in total 286,000 (+3.6 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Halland County out of total registered bed nights was 2.9 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 3.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 10 percent compared to earlier year. In Halland County, length of stay in March was on average 1.6 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Halland County on average 1.6 nights (-7.5 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-13.5 %).

71,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.1 percent were domestic, and 6.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Halland County on average 1.6 nights (-0.17) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.34).
