In January 2021, 50,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Halland County (-35.2 %), of which 48,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 32 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 67 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 35 percent from last year's January.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (530 nights).

The market share of Halland County out of total registered bed nights was 2.3 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.4 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

Length of stay increased 29 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 29 percent compared to earlier year. In Halland County, length of stay in January was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 3.4 nights (+45.2 %).
