Hallingdal: Tourism in a nutshell

Registered bed nights increased 129 percent
In February 2022, 156,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Hallingdal (+129.0 %), of which 73,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 82,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 4,600 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 129 percent from last year's February.
51,100 nights (+54.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,400 nights (+82.6 %) by business visitors.
Between January and February, 123,000 registered bed nights (+15.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 139,000 (+4,682.8 %) for foreigners in Hallingdal, in total 262,000 (+139.6 %) registered nights.

40,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 83 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 59.7 percent were domestic, and 40.3 percent were from foreign countries.
During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hallingdal on average 3.0 nights (-0.04) and foreigners 5.1 nights (+2.3).

Registered January-February sales were 56.2 million crowns and they increased 22.1 million euro from the previous year.
