79,400 registered bed nights

In June 2020, 79,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Halmstad (-16.7 %), of which 77,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 11 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 73 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 17 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (380 nights).

7,600 rooms (-37.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 6,700 rooms (-38.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 214,000 registered bed nights (-12.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 11,300 (-54.2 %) for foreigners in Halmstad, in total 226,000 (-16.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 2.2 percent

Total of 3.7 million registered bed nights (-48.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.4 million nights (-32.3 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 257,000 nights (-87.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Halmstad out of total registered bed nights was 2.2 % (+0.8 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.9 %.

34,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 19 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 96.7 percent were domestic, and 3.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Halmstad on average 2.3 nights (+0.03) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+0.17).
