35,600 registered bed nights

In September 2020, 35,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Halmstad (-9.3 %), of which 32,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased five percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 39 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased nine percent from last year's September.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (580 nights).

8,800 rooms (-5.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 10,400 rooms (-20.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and September, 555,000 registered bed nights (-7.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 27,100 (-60.0 %) for foreigners in Halmstad, in total 582,000 (-12.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 1.1 percent

Total of 3.1 million registered bed nights (-30.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.7 million nights (-19.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 441,000 nights (-61.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Halmstad out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.6 %.

19,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.7 percent were domestic, and 5.3 percent were from foreign countries.

During September, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Halmstad on average 1.8 nights (+0.0) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+0.75).
