Halmstad: Tourism in a nutshell
Registered accommodation. All changes are relative to the same period a year ago.
Registered bed nights increased 20 percent
In May 2022, 77,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Halmstad (+19.9 %), of which 73,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 16 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 220 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 20 percent from last year's May.
13,100 rooms (+71.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 15,000 rooms (+75.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and May, 208,000 registered bed nights (+44.6 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 13,400 (+138.4 %) for foreigners in Halmstad, in total 222,000 (+48.1 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

40,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 62 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.4 percent were domestic, and 5.6 percent were from foreign countries.
During May, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Halmstad on average 1.9 nights (-0.65) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.62).

Registered January-May sales were 127.5 million SEK and they increased 59.2 million SEK from the previous year.
