Registered bed nights increased 24 percent
In January 2020, 26,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Halmstad (+24.2 %), of which 23,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 23 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 38 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 24 percent from last year's January.
5,400 rooms (+32.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 9,200 rooms (-0.8 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Length of stay increased five percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased five percent compared to earlier year. In Halmstad, length of stay in January was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 2.3 nights (-2.0 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Halmstad on average 1.6 nights and foreigners 2.2 nights .

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 18 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.8 percent were domestic, and 7.2 percent were from foreign countries.
