Registered bed nights increased 43 percent
In January 2022, 22,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Halmstad (+43.5 %), of which 21,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 46 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 12 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 43 percent from last year's January.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Denmark (390 nights).
6,300 rooms (+71.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 4,300 rooms (+8.9 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday villages, youth hostels and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 9 beds or 5 rooms are excluded.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 18 percent compared to earlier year. In Halmstad, length of stay in January was on average 2.2 nights and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-36.1 %).
