Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 17 percent

In February 2023, 8,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Haninge (+17.2 %), of which 7,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 13 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 50 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 17 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from United Kingdom (179 nights).

1,900 rooms (+16.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,600 rooms (+72.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 14,300 registered bed nights (+11.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,600 (+54.7 %) for foreigners in Haninge, in total 16,900 (+16.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.5 million registered bed nights (+20.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.8 million nights (+17.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 756,000 nights (+32.3 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Haninge out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 1.7 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 13 percent compared to earlier year. In Haninge, length of stay in February was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-5.0 %).

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Haninge on average 1.6 nights (-17.8 %) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-13.1 %).

5,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 35 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.4 percent were domestic, and 11.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Haninge on average 1.6 nights (-0.27) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.28).
