11,500 bed nights in paid accommodation
Total of 11,500 bed nights (-12.3 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Hanko in August 2023. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 46 % and non-registered 54 %.
Between January and August, the number of paid bed nights was 68,600 (+0.6 %). Share of registered was 54 % and non-registered 46 %.

5,300 registered bed nights
In August 2023, 5,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Hanko (-36.1 %), of which 5,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 64 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 35 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 70 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 36 percent from last year's August.
4,700 nights (-34.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 560 nights (-44.9 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 35,800 registered bed nights (-15.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,500 (+80.9 %) for foreigners in Hanko, in total 37,300 (-13.6 %) registered nights.

Total accommodation sales in August were 667,000 euro (-29,900). The share of Airbnb and Vrbo was 43.8 percent. Therefore, registered accommodation sales were 374,000 euro (-116,000) and non-registered sales 292,000 euro (+86,300).
Total January-August sales were 3.8 million euro and they increased 224,000 euro from the previous year.
