1,300 registered bed nights

In February 2020, 1,300 bed nights were recorded in Hanko (-18.6 %), of which 1,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 85 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased one percent and foreign bed nights decreased 79 percent. In total, bed nights decreased 19 percent from last year's February.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (32 nights).

1,000 nights (-15.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 310 nights (-26.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and February, 2,600 bed nights (+8.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 132 (-82.2 %) for foreigners in Hanko, in total 2,700 (-12.6 %) nights.

Market share 0.1 percent

Total of 1.9 million bed nights (+7.0 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.2 million nights (+10.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 611,000 nights (+1.2 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Hanko out of total bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,000 tourists arrived to accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. Of all arrivals, 94.3 percent were domestic, and 5.7 percent were from foreign countries.

During February, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hanko on average 1.3 nights (-0.22) and foreigners 1.4 nights (-3.9).

28 passengers by ferries

There were 28 arriving passengers by ferries. In total, the arrivals to port increased 65 percent. The number of departing passengers was 14 (+16.7 %). Most arrivals were from Estonia (28 arrivals).
