2,400 bed nights in paid accommodation
Total of 2,400 bed nights (+0.5 %) were recorded in paid accommodation in Hanko in January 2021. This figure includes bed nights at registered establishments as well as at AirBnB and Vrbo. The share of registered bed nights was 57 % and non-registered 43 %.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded. Non-registered bed nights statistics include bed nights from AirBnB and Vrbo.

In January 2021, 1,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Hanko (-2.7 %), of which 1,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 26 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased one percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 45 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased three percent from last year's January.
Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Estonia (16 nights).
1,200 nights (+31.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 191 nights (-62.4 %) by business visitors.

Length of stay increased two percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased two percent compared to earlier year. In Hanko, length of stay in January was on average 1.2 nights and in Finland 2.2 nights (+12.1 %).
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hanko on average 1.3 nights and foreigners 1.1 nights .
1,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased five percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.8 percent were domestic, and 2.2 percent were from foreign countries.
During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hanko on average 1.3 nights (+0.05) and foreigners 1.1 nights (-1.3).
